Since 1998, Propeller Guard Technologies has specialized in the analysis and development of effective solutions, which enhance boating safety and minimize loss to the marine industry, its affiliates and those who work and play on waterways. We bring quality products tested in rigorous applications that are fully compliant with the demands of the United States Coast Guard, Marine Industry and the numerous safety organizations worldwide.
As a leading innovator in marine safety equipment design and manufacture, all of our products are rigorously tested to meet our strict safety and use guidelines. Our family of products will help mitigate or eliminate hazards associated with some of the most prevalent boating hazards, such as:
Propeller Strikes - Falls Overboard - Reboarding -Safe Motor Start Ups
Our pursuit of excellence was recognized by the industry on July 22, 2005, when we introduced the first “wireless engine shut off device” (Virtual Lifeline) and was presented with the National Marine Manufactures Association’s (NMMA) prestigious Innovation of the Year Award for Safety.
The very next year, we were again honored as the winner of the 2006 Canadian Safe Boating Council’s Award for safety innovations in the Marine Industry.
We were most honored in 2012 when the United States Coast Guard’s (USCG) Office of Boating Safety and The American Boating & Yacht Council (ABYC) invited our staff to assist in the development and implementation of the “2013 Propeller Guard Test Procedures.” You can visit the body of work and publication at www.propguardtech.com/propeller guard test procedure.pdf.
